Ed rides his motorcycle down from Mosman to come flying. He has held a British, Irish and Australian pilots licence and has been flying since he was 17 in 1956. He received a Royal Air Force Flying Scholarship for ATC Cadets in England. Through this he flew every weekday for 3 weeks in Lincolnshire to gain his licence in a Tiger Moth. On the weekends he would fly back home to Yorkshire in an Auster with his instructor landing in a sheep paddock. Ed started at WardAir after a 25 year break and enjoys coming and flying over his property “Glen Davis” and exploring areas around Bathurst.
