White Cliffs,   NSW

"The Wild West"  - Sept 06

Day 1 cont. - White Cliffs

In White Cliffs we went on a tour of the town with 'Bruce the Opal Wanderer'. Saw the opal mines, a lady who makes exotic jewlery and the town itself. The Golf course is 18 holes and dirt. Bruce is a very good tour guide with a lot of knowledge of the town and the different people who live there. We stayed in the 'Underground Hotel' which I would highly recommend. It is obviously built underground and is cool and dark for a good nights sleep. Great view from the top to watch the sunset. Had dinner and breakfast there and the food was good.

Walked into town to the pub which took half and hour. Had an international pool comp, a few beers and laughs with the locals. Also had to share the pub with all the stink beatles "the size of a 50c coin". They were everywhere - even the toilets!.
