From Moree we flew to Gilgandra. Again there was some amazing terrain that you fly over. The Warrumbungles are spectacular and you get a good look at the bread knife and other features. Thanks to the RAAF who sometimes use the strip Gilgandra is a great ALA. It is a long very flat dirt strip. It also has lighting ans is very will maked. Because of the red earth colour of the stip it is easy to find.

From Gilgandra we were homewood bound. It was a great trip up and back and I recommed trying out some of the ALA's on your way. Just make sure that you call before you go to get an indication of the strip condition. We took a C182 which was also a good experience. It is amazing how much ground you can cover in two days!!
