With low cloud to the east we decided to go inland on our way home. We flew at 500ft to stay clear of cloud and followed the Bruxner Highway to Texas. The stip at Texas isn't listed in your ERSA but is a good little ALA. Sal and I had to work out for ourselves what the circuit height should be and the runway direction which was a good experience. From Texas we flew to Goondiwindi. The aerodrome was great with clean toilets and a sitting area. Goondiwindi has a NDB (398) to help with tnavigation because there are not many landmarks.
Next stop was Moree for refueling, they have a Shell and BP bowser. Moree easily wins the best terminal award, it is air conditioned with comfortable chairs, a TV and cold water. It is quite easy to find with the Newll Highway leading into it and silos all around. Be watchful for Ag aircraft as there are a lot of ag operations at Moree.
