Parkes puts on a good show with Elvis music playing throughout the street and Karaoke in all the pubs at night. You can also have a 'Hunka Hunka' pancake and big breakfast in the Leagues and RSL clubs in the morning.

The highlight of the weekend would have to be the wedding vow renewal where forty couples vowed to love each other tender love each other sweet and be each others "Hound Dogs" and put on their Blue Suede Shoes for the Wedding waltz. They were re-married by Dean Vegas the leading Elvis Impersonator in Australia and were all in costume. It was quite and incredible sight and bought a tear to the eye!!
