On the 13th and 14th of January a group of hopeful Elvis's and Pricilla's travelled to Parkes for their annual Elvis festival. We arrived to a sea of Elvis's competing in the Guiness World Record attempt for the most number of Elvis's in one place. Amazingly they doubled the old record to get themselves in the books.
The rest of the day was spent watching the various competitions. Beginning with the junior Elvis and Pricilla competition where there were some very cute kids, to look a like, sound a like and move a like competitions. Some of the performers were really good and looked and sounded like the real deal. However I think that I look and sound more like Elvis than a lot of them. The festival of course attracted a lot of flamboyant costumes, with capes, tight pants and big wave top hair doos a feature.
